RIB arrested DASSO who was going to sell the national flag

Habimana Eliezer, a District Security Officer (DASSO) in Kirehe District is in police custody where he is being prosecuted for trying to sell the national flag.

As reported on ukwezi.rw, this took place in the district of Kirehe, Sector Nyamugari. When it was niticed the DASSO was intending to sell the flag the administration was informed.

According to the newspaper, the DASSO and the bribe-taker had agreed to pay Rwf 20,000 and had already paid Rwf 10,000 to the two arrested and handed over to the National Prosecutor's Office (RIB) in Kirehe District. .

It is a statement from Kirehe District Mayor Gerard Muzungu that thanked the public for providing information that Dasso had a flag at his home and said it was a criminal offense.

"It simply came to our notice then. We thank the people for giving us the information that the flag was stolen and for informing us who stole it."
